It is important to establish a regular routine when it comes to cleaning your skin. Cleansing is a vital part of your beauty routine, and let's face it, we have all skipped cleansing our face at some point, maybe after a night out, we fall into bed exhausted to then we wake up in the morning with smudged mascara on our pillow case!
Why should you cleanse your skin?
Have you considered what your skin is exposed to throughout the day? From dirt, pollution and particles, to oil, bacteria, sweat and make-up. Regular, and by this we mean daily facial cleansing, will remove all of the above, along with dead skin cells from your face. An accumulation of dirt, bacteria and pollution on your skin can contribute to conditions such as blocked pores, breakouts, irritation, dehydration, ageing and lack of luminosity. Even if you don't wear make-up it is still important to regularly clean your skin. As well as cleaning your skin in the evening you should also clean it in the morning to remove traces of dust, and perspiration from the night before. Proper skin cleansing clears pores of debris to prevent dirt buildup, allowing the sebum oil to reach the skin surface unimpeded; decreasing the chances of a breakout. And whilst we advise on cleaning your skin daily, we also recommend that you don't over cleanse as this can cause other issues such as excess oil or dry dehydrated skin.
